Power, Pride, and Work

Is Grace only cheap to the poor?

1. Grace is only cheap to the poor. To him who is poor in sin, fear, and pride. 2. Wisdom is a clear understanding of the truth/reality/fact. 3. Sin is an imaginary reality driven by fear. To be poor in sin is to be free of inaccurate influences - in mind and body. 4. Work needs to be done as play. World says you must strive for perfection. To gain more stuff; to get rich. Scripture says, just ask. 5. Our only true satisfaction is in the Lord. In the Lord is perfect peace. Freedom from trouble/fear/striving. 6. Poor in spirit: absence of fear - which drives a man to get rich, to save, to strive for perfection. He is afraid God will not take care of him. 7. To be satisfied in the Lord - is to be free of fear. You will be happy. 8. Pride is foolish because it says, I don't need God's help, I have done it myself. 9. Asking for help is humble. Admitting "I am a sinner" is humble. Without God, I can succeed at nothing. 10. We should ask God for help to do everything in our days. 11. Poor in sin/doubt/failure - because sin is not true. 12. Poor in pride - because it is foolish; I cannot succeed at life without God. 13. Poor in fear - because it is false, we should only fear God. 14. Objects, material goods possess you if you are in debt to them. 15. Everything in temporal existence is subject to decay and limited by time. 16. Things in time decay and die. To fear death is the opposite of the fear of the Lord (who is life). 17. Happiness in God - perfect (only in Him), at peace (trouble free), satisfied (no fear of death). Just ask Him.

The Lord will provide-

1. The Lord will provide. He provided for all of our needs while we were unemployed; He will provide for all of our needs while we are employed. 2. This job is not because of my great skill or because I am a wonderful guy, but simply because God wanted me to have it. Romans 9:15, 16- For he says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion." It does not, therefore, depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy.

To Be Free-

1. To be Free - is to repent and turn to God, to focus on him. 2. To loose freedom - to sin is to turn away from God, to focus on emptiness. 3. The entirety of modern society is built on false philosophies. Imaginary realities apart from God's Word. The theories of Marx, Darwin, Dewey, etc.. Our society is built on shifting sand. A house of cards. 4. Men proudly say, "we will triumph over nature!" ('nature' is used instead of God). God says, "repent and be saved; walk in the truth or you will be destroyed in your pride." 5. My conscience convicts or confirms me. Conscience = heart/gut. In prayer, God will let me know - via conscience - if I have done anything to offend him. 6. The Catholic Church takes the Love of God seriously. They do what they do because they heed the warnings of scripture. 7. If a person says, "I believe in Jesus" - but lives life worldfully/sinfully - with carelessness - taking the salvation of Jesus for granted - how could he be a true believer? 8. Lord give me the innocent eyes of a child, so I will not be drawn into corruption by the lust of my eyes! In Jesus' Name, Amen!! 9. 1] No Gods before Me or besides Me. (Only the Lord is God) 10. 2] Make no idols or worship them. (Only the Lord is God) 11. 3] Don't take the name of the Lord in vain. (it is rude) 12. 4] Remember the Sabbath.(man is weak, he needs rest, the Lord will provide) 13. 5] Honor your father and mother. (they love you) 14. 6] Don't kill. (you are not God; this is God's providence) 15. 7] Don't commit adultery. (not yours, not true to you) 16. 8] Don't steal. (not yours, not true) 17. 9] Don't lie. (not true) 18.10] Don't covet. (not yours, not true)

Pride and the repentant heart-

1. If I do something bad, and in my pride I say, "I am good, I have not sinned." This is why my own righteousness, my own works, cannot save me. When our works are our focus, we do not think about God. That is why we cannot reach heaven by our good works. Because there is no thought of God, no turning of the self to God. There is no repentance. 2. You may ignore your sins, but that does not make them go away. 3. But if you have the 'knowledge of God' (inner awareness of God - Wisdom) given only by Jesus (planted in your heart) - that is: 1 John 1:9- If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 4. Faith is confessing and renouncing our sins in Jesus' Name. This erases our unrighteousness. 5. We gain access to God by repentance (turning to God; seeking God for forgiveness). Not by our own righteousness. 6. If a persons' conscience does not convict him when he sins, it has been hardened by sin against God. Jesus says, "you should treat him as a pagan or a tax collector". Matthew 18:17- If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector. 7. This is what keeps me free: Conscious knowledge that I am a sinner before God - the Lord. This prompts me to confess my sins. Prov 28:13- He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses them and renounces them finds mercy. 8. Conclusion: A repentant heart is a saved heart. A repentant heart is humble and endeavors to please God; because it is sensitive to what pleases God. This raw heart of flesh will react to sin like a hand to the prick of a needle or the heat of a flame. A repentant heart loves God and is wise because it possesses the fear of the Lord. The mark of the child of God is a repentant heart.

The finished work of God-

1. Memorized scripture and prayer are life savers in times of trouble. (confirmed by life) 2. The man who is great by man's standards will cause a world of trouble. 3. To focus wholly on the Atonement (love-power-wisdom-good of God) - gives us freedom. Then our focus is not on sin and on the sin-full world - our misery. 4. The Fear of God enables us to do the work of God. Sin puts us in chains. chains that stop us from the work of the Father. 5. The Atonement is the Work of God. That work is complete-total-finished. 6. Knowing that the work of God is completed sets the Spirit of Life free to live. 7. We should not have to work at being good - because in Christ we are good! 8. So, what then is the problem? Answer: we doubt. 9. We do not work to be free of sin - we work because we are free of sin. When we sin we say, "no God, your work is not complete in me!" In other words, we say God is a liar. A slap in God's face. 10. If we are fully confident in God's Atonement, His work, sin would be impossible. Because sin expresses doubt. Sin is a break in faith. 11. SO, we are saved by faith, that is a committed, conscious, constant, and confident faith. 12. Sin expresses doubt that God's work is complete in us. 13. When we sin, our sin is breaking the faith and confidence that Jesus' work on the cross is complete. Galatians 5:4- You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. 14. Our faith must be renewed daily. Because it must be conscious, constant, and confident of the Atonement. Romans 14:23 - But the man who has doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and EVERYTHING that does not come from faith is sin. 15. When we take the Atonement for granted, we leave ourselves open to sin and doubt. 16. Look at the crucifix and remember. In the name of Jesus, I confess and renounce all of my sins. Lord forgive me!!

What you give is what you get-

1. Ask for mercy - get mercy - give mercy. Mat 18:34,35 - In anger, his master turned him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all that he owed. This is how my Heavenly Father will treat EACH OF YOU unless you forgive your brother from your heart. 2. If you hold nothing against anyone, God will hold nothing against you. Mark 11:25 - And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in Heaven MAY forgive you your sins. 'MAY' is important to note. 3. If you hold something against anyone - it holds back the Grace of God - His Holy Spirit. 4. Give God the freedom to perfect His work in all things. 5. Forgive because you have been forgiven. 6. To repent is to turn to God (to turn form evil and do good.. Psalm 34:14). Song of Solomon 8:6, 7- Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. IT BURNS LIKE BLAZING FIRE, LIKE A MIGHTY FLAME. Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot wash it away. If one were to give all the wealth of his house for love, it would be utterly scorned. Love is the fire which burns forever. God is Love. In the end, we will all have to go through the fire. And the fire will know its' own. That which is not one with the flame, will be consumed forever. The Love of God burns forever. Deut 4:24- Hebrews 12:29- for our "God is a consuming fire."

1. Special esteem or respect. Proverbs 25:27- To eat too much honey is not good; nor to seek honor after honor. (degree after degree?) 2. It is not right to lord over other people. Honorary titles are a source of pride. God hates pride. God loves the humble. 3. If it hurts when someone insults you - you have pride. a. Live on the Word. b. Do not put God to the test. c. Worship God. 1 Cor 15:57- But thanks be to God, who gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Real reasons why someone seeks education-

All bad. 1. Fear - we are told, "we must be educated in order to succeed". Our scholastic achievement is driven by the "fear of failure". 2. Pride - I want to be better than anyone else. 3. Power - Wants to dominate other people. Better reasons? Or, just a smoke screen. 4. Love? - gain knowledge to provide better for the family. - Difficulty - if things get tough, easy to fall into fear driven achievement. Pride makes us fall back on our own abilities. This is wrong! 5. We must always depend and trust in the Lord. Prov 3- Trust in the Lord with all your heart; lean not on your own understanding; acknowledge him in all your ways, and he will make your paths straight. 6. World driven wisdom is FEAR driven wisdom. It is evil. 7. Life with fear as the driver is HELL. 8. Life without fear is play. Work without fear is play.

Dead bodies-

John 5:24- I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. 1. When our physical bodies die, we sleep until the Lord calls us. 2. To be with God is to be with company in a loving home. To be without God is to be cold and alone. Trust in the Lord !!!

Holy Poverty-

1. not seek greatness. 2. humble. 3. Romans...associate with the lowly. 4. St. Francis...Holy poverty. 5. The greatness of a man over a man is largely imaginary. All are equal in God's eye. 6. We should look up only to God. 7. What man esteems, God despises. 1 Corinthians 1:20- Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 2 Cor 12:9- My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. 8. The Carpenter takes the rough wood. He chips it, smoothes it, etc.. Until the object of His attention is made perfect.

Is the humble happy?-

1. He should be, because he is close to God. 2. A proud man who is humbled is unhappy. 3. I am a proud man, this is why I am miserable. 4. When the self is humbled, the spirit rises towards God (pro-life). 5. When the self is proud and is dominant, the spirit is suppressed away from God (anti-life). When I Lose, God wins. 6. Why is losing the way of salvation? Because success feeds pride (I did it!). Winning is a way of exalting over another man. 7. Instead of saying, "I have triumphed!" Say, "Praise the Lord!"

Cast away spirits-

Spirit of (enter name of bad spirit here), I adjure you in the Name of Jesus Christ, to leave (enter name of person troubled here) and enter (person) no more. Isaiah 26:3- You will keep him in perfect peace; whose mind is fixed on the Lord. 1. The Lord will keep me in perfect peace, as my mind is fixed on Him. Psalm 131- Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul; like a young child in his mothers' lap; so is my soul within me.

True God-

Jer 10:10- But the Lord is true God; John 4:8- ...God is love. 1. God is True love. 2. For a time it appeared that at the moment I found God in my life, family, and home - working and taking care of my family and I, my work for the world went away. 3. Is all this world work for the evil one? Is it so steeped in evil, that it does not know what to do with someone committed to God? 4. It is like I am not even here. And yet, I am. Is this like God? 5. They don't acknowledge Him; does He exist to them? 6. It is like He is not here. And yet, He is. Praise the Lord!! A Spirit. The Spirit. 7. They do not want to be jarred from their illusion. This imaginary reality. Mat 6:32- The pagans run after these things... 8. They fear poverty, death, hunger. Fear drives them. They do not seek the way of the Lord or the Wisdom of God. 9. An alien in an alien land. 10. I walk among the wicked as a spirit. A spirit they neither seek or perceive. 11. If there is no fear, then what is left? 12. Freedom. With love, goodness, righteousness as the motive - God as the motive. This is how we should live. 13. With freedom is peace - the perfect peace of God.

Self Control-

1. Self-control = control of one's feelings, desires, or actions by one's own will. 2. Will = the mental facility by which one deliberately chooses or decides a course of action. 3. Something is put before you; your choice is to follow it or not. 4. It may appear before your physical eyes. It may appear before your mental eye. You may hear it. 5. Understand - there is a spirit behind it. The Spirit of good will invite you to do the right thing. The spirit of evil will invite you to do evil. Do Good !!! !! This is the Will of God: to deliberately choose to do good !! Praise the Lord!

Great Goals-

1. So you've driven yourself to achieve great goals. Why? 2. To give meaning and purpose to life? But our true meaning and purpose in life is to glorify God. 3. Are you proud of your success? All the glory should go to God. 4. Because we cannot even lift a finger without Him. 5. If I exalt myself, I am on the highway to Hell. Luke 14:11- For everyone who exalts himself shall be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted. 6. When I lose God wins << a proud man cannot bear this truth. 7. Perhaps it is small deeds and hushed voices that, in the end, do the most good. O Lord, be merciful to me as you were with Joseph. In Jesus' Name, Amen! O Lord, please show me your favor and mercy, as you did with Joseph. In the Name of Jesus my Savior, Amen!!

Ecc 4:4- Then I saw that all painful effort in labor and all skill in work comes from man's rivalry (competition, envy, jealousy, covetousness) with his neighbor. 1. I want to be better. Better than who? 2. I want to be the best in my field. Why? 3. To dominate (as a God) over my fellow man. PRIDE. 4. Ultimately, all men want to rule the world; all men want to be God. 5. Then, all men are in competition with God! 6. Pride is slimy. It whispers gentle suggestions - but its' true goal is world domination. 7. Everyone wants to be God on their own terms. But the only way, is through God Himself - in Jesus. 8. If I begin to take the Atonement for granted, pride has begun to take over. Sin starts here. 9. Pride exalts self. It turns away from God in a devilish way. To be God. 10. Pride is the brother to arrogance and its' sister is presumption. 11. Pride says, "I am God and I can do it all myself". Only God is God. Praise His Holy Name forever!! 12. A man in pride is a devil. 13. A man in love is a saint. 14. Pride is more evil than sin. Because a man may sin clumsily - humbly - unintentionally. But pride sins deliberately. 15. A proud man is happy in his sin - like a pig in mud. 16.A humble man is repulsed by sin, and is only happy in doing good. 17. Stay humble with a contrite-repentant heart. Fear God - and Him only! Father of Life, Son of Love, Holy Spirit of Truth, Amen!! 18. I am a sinner - only by God's mercy am I saved. Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me, a sinner!!

The Lord will provide-

1. The Lord does not like complaining. Israel complained in the desert because they wanted more than what the Lord provided (manna). 2. Complaining shows one is not satisfied with the Lord's provision. 3. God provides the commandments - Jesus = commandments 4. God provides food - Jesus = food 5. God provides salvation - Jesus = Salvation The Lord is my life and all that I need! Deut 30:20- for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: 2 Cor 12:9- His grace is sufficient for me. 6. Do we have to accept what the Lord provides? No. It is a free-will decision. 7. But the Lord knows what is good for me. 8. God's commands have been given to us. 9. What has been given is a provision. 10. The Spirit of God (Life) is in His provisions. 11. When we reject God's provisions, we reject the Lord and Life. We get into trouble. 12. Because His provision points to Him, it always leads to Jesus. The provision is Jesus. 13. God's provision saves us, feeds us, houses us, clothes us: The Lord is my life, and all that I need. Lam 3:24- The Lord is my portion, I will wait for Him. 14. The Lord is the Savior of all of me - body, mind, and soul. He provides for all of my needs. 15. The work of God is completed (all that I need). His grace is sufficient (all that I need) for me.

1. A rock looks solid, and is. But over time a rock turns to dust. Year by year the rains come. The water finds a small crack in the rock. Winter comes and the water freezes. The water- turned-to-ice expands. The crack gets larger. Eventually, the rock turns to dust. 2. Evil is like that. It creeps into a righteous heart. Bad circumstances come. 3. We must stay ever vigilant. 4. We must remain faithful to faith. 5. We must fix our eyes on the Atonement. For indeed, the work of God is complete there. 6. It takes concentration to maintain focus. 7. The rock must remain in the light of the sun to remain dry and free of the effects of water and ice.

Spiritual Physics-

1. Conservation of energy - energy cannot be created or destroyed, it just changes form. 2. Enthalpy - total heat content (total life content?). 3. Entropy - uncertainty associated with the nature of a situation (doubt). 4. First law of thermodynamics - application of the conservation of energy. 5. Second law of thermodynamics - there is a preferred direction for any process. 6. Money may be equal to work. 7. So giving money away is like water evaporation in the sun's heat. 8. The water will return. The money will return. Because the earth is a closed system. 9. Load-burden-work > something you think needs to be done. (burden - Worms are to wood as sorrow is to the soul). 10. Knowledge without the Wisdom of God is evil. 11. Much of the work of man is prideful - devilish. 12. Most of the work of man is vain. Sinful. Batting at the wind. 13. To work for God is to work for love, life , and truth. 14. see: Psalm 55:22; Jer 23:33, 36, 38; Mat 11:30; Gal 6:5; Rev 2:24; Is 58:6 Mat 11:28-30 Come to me, all you who labor (work hard) and are heavy-laden, and I will cause you to rest. My burden (work) is light. 15. Before the fall, man's work was gathering food and naming the animals. Raising a family was part of his work. 16. Why is sin a burden? Is work sin? Work is a burden. Paul says in Romans, "the wages of sin is death". 17. Man's original work duty was to maintain, tend, guard, and keep the garden. 18. If there is work to be done, it should be done in truth. 19. Good work maintains the circle of life. Love encourages life. Hosea 6:6- For I desire mercy (love), not sacrifice (religion), and acknowledgment of God (praise the Lord), rather than burnt offerings (tithes). 20. God's work on the cross redeemed us from Hell, paid for my life, erased our sins, renewed my relationship with God, and opened the door to eternal life. 21. For creation, being outside of eternity; good work is required to maintain the circle of life. 22. Evil works (sin) destroy or tend toward destruction. 23. You cannot add to the work of God because it has been completed. 24. The law is good works. The business of fighting and clawing for life. Sometimes we end up fighting life instead. 25. On the cross, God has completed our work for us. 26. He has fought the fight for our life. 27. He has worked out the sin. 28. Men fear death, so they work hard to maintain life. 29. Hard work is the result of somebody's worry, fear, or doubt. 30. Worry will not add one second to your life or maintain it. 31. Jesus says, "I am the Lord of the Sabbath." The Sabbath was made as a rest day for man. we are to rest on the Sabbath because it is the day God gave us to rest. 32. The result of man's empty , self-serving, work is death. Is work sin? Romans 6:23- ...But the gift of God is eternal life, through Christ Jesus, Our Lord. 33. Have faith in God and the Lord will keep me satisfied and fill me with good things. 34. The Lord will provide. Do not be afraid of what man can do to you - Fear Not !! 35. Our life, our spirits, our thoughts, our souls are a form of energy. 36. According to the first law of thermodynamics - energy cannot be created or destroyed. 37. Therefore, we are ETERNAL by nature. 38. We do not have to work for life anymore, because God gives us life in Jesus. 39. He is love. Love is the energy that heals, forgives, encourages life (the Spirit). Love sustains life. 40. This is the challenge - this is the test. If I do nothing, see if God brings what I need (He sustains me). 41. Have faith in God and the Lord will provide. Do not be afraid of what man can do to you. 42. Do not be afraid John, I will take care of you. Praise the Lord !!!

Wealth beyond counting-

1. If you took all the wealth of the universe - it still would not equal the life of the Son of God! What a price God paid for our sins! 2. He is more, much more, than I need. 3. How difficult it is to shift mental gears from the mind walking in the path of God - back into the world. 4. But the Lord's way is the way we should operate in the real world. 5. To act in mercy - always. Forgiving and kind. Praise the Lord, Hallelujah! 6. Chi - Rho; XP (x on the p). Labarum (Chi-Rho) Labarum is the name by which the military standard adopted by Constantine the Great after his celebrated vision ,was known in antiquity.

1. Perfidious = treacherous, to break faith - faithless.
2. Reprehensible = worthy of censure or rebuke - guilty.
3. Belligerent = eager to fight - war-like.
4. Antipathy = hate.
5. Approbation = take for one's own use - steal.

6. Indeed, I am perfidious, reprehensible, belligerent, and full of antipathy. The Lord, and only
the Lord, is my faith, innocence, peace, and love.

Rom 1:17
This is the gospel:
For in the gospel a righteousness which God ascribes is revealed, both springing from faith and
leading to faith. As it is written: the righteous man will live by faith.

7. This particular verse was Martin Luther's 'gateway to God'. It reveals that deeds and works
are simply deeds and works.

In and of themselves, they do not acknowledge God (to acknowledge God is Wisdom).
8. We are justified and saved simply by repenting of our sins in the name of Jesus. This is faith.
9. Works become worthy when they are salted with faith.
10. Faith and works are two sides of the same coin; neither is any good without the other.

Rom 14:23
The man who eats and doubts is condemned already because, his eating is done without faith;
and anything done without faith is sin.

11. My sins are forgiven not because I am such a wonderful guy, but simply because I believe
in Jesus. That is: I am justified and made righteous by the blood of Jesus Christ because I
believe in Him.

Hosea 6:6-
For I desire mercy (for you to love your neighbor), not sacrifice (religious actions. not to
destroy yourself), and acknowledgment of God (love the Lord, give thanks and have faith in
God), rather than burnt offerings (just giving to charity; paying God off).

12. This is why Jesus was so angry with the Pharisee and scribes. They were great at religion
and making burnt offerings, but were bad at thanking God and being kind.

Eph 2:5-9-
By grace are ye saved through faith; and not of yourselves; it is a gift of God; not of works,
lest any man should boast.

Psalm 55:16-
As for me, I shall call upon God, and the Lord will save me.

13. God wants us to totally rely on Him. I can see no other conclusion.

Total reliance on God-

Psalm 55:16- As for me, I shall call upon God, and the Lord will save me. 1. Over and over again, I come to this conclusion: God wants us to totally rely on Him. 2. If a man works on something and succeeds (I did this thing without God), he is spoiled by pride. It has become a thing to boast about. A proud work. Something you can be proud of. 3. Proud things are a stumbling block to faith. 4. Man strives to excel out of rivalry-envy-jealousy-coveting. All bad. 5. So the things work ends up doing are apposed to faith and righteousness. Pride and sin, fear and doubt.

The Sun-

How does the Sun work on water? 1. At first, the sun warms the water. Under the sun, the sun is in the water, among the molecules. Over time, the sun purges the cold from the water. 2. The spirit of the water - its' vapor - escapes from the water under the influence of the sun. The spirit of the water is set free. 3. The water vapor - spirit - rises. As it rises, it gets cold, and gathers together with other water spirits. 4. When enough water spirits gather together, they become clouds. and then rain. With the Sun: (The Love of God is the fire of the Son) 1. Warms the water - makes it alive by its' heat. 2. Dwells in the water - the spirit of life in the water. 3. Purges the cold and impurities from the water. 4. Sets the spirit of the water free. 5. Lights the water - revealing any impurities - no secrets. Without the Sun: 1. Water stays cold and dead. 2. No sun in the water - no spirit of life. 3. Stays cold, the impurities remain. 4. No vapor - the spirit of the water is not liberated. 5. It remains in the dark - keeps its' secrets.

1. A rich man glories in his riches. 2. A handsome man glories in his looks. 3. A powerful man glories in his power. 4. A healthy man glories in his health. 5. Basically, for his own personal gain, a man of the world is pride driven. He exalts and promotes whatever he is rich in . 6. The talents-riches we have are to be used for the glory of God. 7. Whatever we are rich in, we should give away. Acts 20:35- It is more blessed to give than to receive.

1. So what if this guy is saying - the prophets knew the cycles of the planets and used them to predict the future. 2. That a group of people lived on Mars. People from a prior Earth civilization. Their civilization was destroyed by the Earth-Mars interaction. 3. Why did or how did the Earth-Mars change orbits? 4. The Martian colony saw the destruction of their civilization. Did they, with their advanced technology, play God? Become God to the primitives? To lead the destroyed people to a more civilized society? 5. These things confuse and contaminate the true intent and worship of God. 2 Tim 2:23- Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. 6. A previous civilization would have the wisdom to know what destroys society. What destroys peace. If they were wise. 7. Jesus corrected the errors of Jewish religion. He gave the perfect example of true service to God.

Contemplating Losing-

1. Salvation is 'the way of losing'. (The sayings of Brother Giles) 2. Salvation is not through life lived, but through life (blood) poured out. 3. When I lose, God wins. 4. Sometimes, to 'give in' is to give life. Luke 14:11- For everyone who exalts himself, shall be humbled, and he who humbles himself shall be exalted 5. To fight for control of life is wrong. To gain life - we must give life. 6. Give what you want to get what you want? 7. To give love is to render service to life. 8. Why does a man gain pride (self-exaltation) through work? Self-sacrifice is the way of the Lord. 9. We disregard wisdom when we successfully complete something - we get proud and boastful. 10. When I have given in, letting my wife win arguments, it is like a wrathful wave crashing against a rock. The wave of anger (negative energy) dissipates - instead of being reflected. 11. Pride will not allow insult. Pride reflects pride. Anger reflects anger. 12. Godly virtues: (to give good things in love) forgiveness, kindness, healing. 13. Is the release of pride 'self-sacrifice'? 14. Is 'pride' the 'self'? 15. The self is the dirt in which pride, sin, and evil grow. 16. Without self, pride-sin-evil have no place to rest. 17. With no-self there is nothing to judge. 18. Dead to self, alive in Christ. 19. Adam and Eve became aware of self on eating the apple. They suddenly knew they were naked. Originally they were selfless. On eating the apple they said, "I am". 20. The heart of sin is the self - self-awareness = pride. It makes itself out to be God. 21. God is the ONLY I AM. 22. To say I AM is THE sin. Job 42:6- Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes. In the name of Jesus of Nazareth, I confess and renounce MYSELF!! Amen.

Jesus is the answer-

Mat 10:31- So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. 1. Tao = the way = the spontaneous, creative, effortless path taken by natural events in the universe. 2. I 'Utmost for His Highest' Jan. 6, "Jesus was unhasting and unresting". 3. Jesus is the incarnation of the Tao. 4. Do not worry or fear, You are more important to God than the sparrow. Trust in God; He will take care of you. 5. Yoga = yoke. Jnana yoga = wisdom and discrimination (discernment). Bhakti yoga = love and devotion to God. Karma yoga = selfless (humble) action. 6. Happiness is to praise the Lord always. 7. Peace is to focus on the Lord and let go. 8. Forgiveness is not to hold onto anything sinful. 9. Freedom is to maintain a repentant heart. Do good. 10. Worship is the same as peace. 11. Be selfless and humble. Deny yourself and let go. 12. Combat evil by praising the Lord and selfless action. 13. Courage is to let go of fear and be confident in God's providence.

More Pride-

1. The disciples (people who said, "I believe") went fishing. In their own strength they catch little or nothing. Their work is almost fruitless. They utilize all their personal resources - sweat, mind, effort - all empty. 2. Jesus called to them. They looked at Him and He told the disciples what to do. The harvest was so large they could not handle it all. Lord, make this happen to me!! John 6:29- Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent." 3. Martha works - works hard to please the Lord. Burdened in and by her work, she calls to Jesus. Mary sits at Jesus' feet. Focused on him. Luke 10:42- but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her. 4. The works of man tend to be for the glorification of self. 5. The work of God is for the glory of God. 6. For the self to think 'I am good' is foolish. The self is truly dirt.

To be selfless-

1. To understand being selfless, one must look at that which at first cannot be perceived. 2. God is Spirit - the Spirit. All that is good is of God. One cannot see His Spirit, but one can see evidence of His workings all around. 3. John the Baptist did good publicly. Jesus said, "He would be least in the kingdom of Heaven". 4. So God, who is the most humble and good, does the most good out of sight. In the most secret places - in the greatest Spirit. 5. The most pure Spirit of God, the most humble and good, cannot be seen, especially by wicked men. 6. The more humble the man, the more of God and His work can be perceived. And the more alien he becomes to the world. 7. A stranger in a strange land. 8. If God puts you on a pedestal - be sure to give Him the glory. God puts you on a pedestal to glorify Him. 9. So, the person of the greatest integrity does the most good, most right, especially when no one is looking. 10. God is the secret-self revealed in Christ. Dear God, the Only Self, please open my eyes to see you. Open my ears to hear you. Open my mind and heart to perceive you. 11. The riches of God are not what man thinks riches are. 12. The treasures of God are things like: love, kindness, wisdom, etc.. 13. Solomon said, on following wisdom, he was provided for magnificently. 14. Jesus Christ crucified is the Wisdom of God ( 1 Cor 1:23, 24). 15. Excessive riches, in anything other than God, tend to corruption.

The Name of God-

This is one of the key revelations I have received. 1. Evil is using the name of God, and the power in it, for your own selfish gain. 2. This is pride. This is THE sin. This is THE temptation. This is what happened to Satan. 3. If a person is good at his occupation, people seek you out and exalt you. Only God is to be exalted. 4. Being good at a man thing is supposed to exalt the Creator not the creature. 5. Pride is a slimy, sneaky snake. It pushes the self to exalt itself over God. Lord, the Only I Am, how can I kill the snake? Lord kill my snake of pride, please! In Jesus' name, Amen!

God is the Only I Am-

He is the Sovereign Lord. 1. God is: the Father of Life; the Son of Love; the Holy Spirit of Truth. 2. A selfless act is an act of God - a work of God. 3. The man self is for man. It is, or thinks it is, master of its' world. Always pushing to get ahead. Ahead of what? God. 4. As I focus on God, He provides all of my needs. 5. Why do I work? To get bread for my family? 6. You cannot work to Heaven. 7. A man's pride (confidence in self-abilities) works to provide for his family. 8. But God says, "I will provide." 9. St. Francis prayed and preached and begged. 10. Because of Jesus crucified, the work of man has changed. 11. Man working for the glory of man tends toward Hell, not Heaven. 12. Work, successfully done, feels good. This ends up being pride-in-self. 13. Only God is good. 14. The pride of a man exalts him, at the expense of others, hurting others. 15. The humble man is put in places where he can save lives. 16. Jacob was exalted to save lives. 17. The work of God is to save lives. The work of God was completed on the cross. Lord, please put me in a job where I can save lives. In Jesus' name, amen! Hallelujah!!

The work of God is to save lives-

1. Because God, the Only I Am, is life itself - I self - I AM !!! 2. The Lord is the better portion; He is all I need. Lord, please help me not to forget, you are all I need. 3. Evil is using the name of God (I AM), and the power in it, for our own personal gain. 4. God is the Only I AM, the Only True Self = Sovereign Lord = the Only I AM.

Contemplative Introspection-

Psalms 46:10- Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. 1. Contemplative introspection opens the mind and heart to the Holy Spirit of Truth. 2. Is to sit quietly thinking about God, worship? 3. If one sits quietly thinking about God, the Spirit directs our thoughts to the Lord. 4. When our thoughts are empty, they tend toward evil.

The City of God-

1. When we ask Jesus into our heart, his Spirit becomes the King of our 'inner city'. 2. The spirit which occupies our hearts, directs our thoughts. 3. Our heart is the city where our self lives. 4. The only True King of the city is God. 5. When we are, by will and by choice, on guard, and God is on the throne, we are free of evil. 6. When we are empty headed, our minds adrift, and the guard is down, the enemy (which many times is our very self), attacks the city. Lust is famous for this. Sometimes lust is so strong, we simply unlock the gate and let her in. 7. Pride sometimes sneaks into the city, and by devious plot, puts the wicked self on the throne. 8. Temptation, as the army of the enemy, attacks and lays siege to the walls of the city. Lord forgive! Lord save! 9. The walls are breached when the shield of faith falters. 10. Then we turn to God, through the Sword of the Word that is the Lord, the armies of Heaven vanquish the enemy. The walls are restored, the True King returns to His throne. Peace is restored. 11. When the True King is in His proper place, He provides generously for His subject. Me.

I trust that God, The Holy Spirit, has perfected, does perfect, and will perfect all the sacraments I participate in or am a part of. In the name of Jesus, amen!! 1. The sacraments we participate in are made perfect by the action of the Holy Spirit. 2. I want to give God the freedom to perfect all that I am. 3. I want to do nothing to impede the purifying action of the Holy Spirit. 4. The difficulty believing in the completeness of God is that it excludes the self-sufficient man (or woman). 5. Pride does not accept total reliance on God. 6. Jesus Christ is the perfection man on earth (by himself) cannot achieve. 7. To save is to perfect; to bring to completion. 8. Through faith in Jesus, the thoughts and deeds and words - all that I am - all of my life - are purified by the Love of God in Christ Jesus. My Lord and Savior. 9. The question to ask: do you believe that the work of God was completed on the cross?

The Cross-

1. The completed work of God on the cross, leaves man with nothing to boast about accept the cross. 2. The meaning and purpose and totality of my life and all that is in it, depend on Christ crucified. 3. I cannot add or subtract anything from the completed work of God on the cross. 4. When Jesus says, "all things are possible (brought to completion) to him who believes." Mark 9:23 - the single point of belief is Christ crucified! 5. The cross is the fulcrum and apex of the Power and Wisdom of God. 6. The finished work of the cross frustrates the proud, because it leaves nothing for man to say, "I did it". Nothing left to be proud of! Nothing left for a proud man to glorify himself in. 7. The thing is, a man's argument, even if someone made all this up, it would not subtract from these truths: a. you must believe you are forgiven in order to be forgiven. b. the meaning of the name 'Jesus' is I Am Salvation = love = forgiveness. 8. This is why only God can forgive sin. 9. God = love = Lord = forgiveness = salvation = Jesus. Amen!!

1. It is God's choice who gets mercy. Because it is ALL of God. Man has done nothing and can do nothing towards salvation. 2. The cross renders myself and my works petty, foolish, and insignificant. 3. You deny yourself when you take up the crucifix. 4. This is why I can sigh in relief. This is why I can smile with joy. This is why I can find perfect peace simply by looking at the crucified Christ: it is a form of prayer. And the Holy Spirit perfects our prayers.

The Heart of Belief-

1. That the truth and love of God should come into a mind is a miracle all by itself. 2. The condition of belief is the heart prepared by the love of God. 3. There should be no conflict between the names of God - because one would recognize the other. To pray to God or Jesus or Lord or Holy Spirit or Father - He is one. He knows His names and titles. 4. When you believe in the complete work of God on the cross, it gives the Spirit freedom to perfect you. 5. The cross is the fire of the love of God, burning away anything corruptible in our beings.

Romans 8:26- In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. 1. Baptism is a prayer. And according to Romans 8:26, the Holy Spirit takes our prayers, perfects them, and hands them to God. 2. All of the sacraments are prayers. And in Jesus' name, they are perfected according to the will of God by the Spirit of God. 3. The crucified Christ is the PERFECT prayer. Proverbs 28:26, 27- He who trusts in the Lord will be blessed, but he who trusts in himself is a fool. 4. My baby baptism was completed at the cross. 5. It is a shame that some denominations purposely, willfully take the Holy Spirit out of the sacraments. 6. i.e.: We only do this because Jesus wanted us to. There is no spiritual significance to this. The Southern Baptists do this. The trouble with this is, if two or more are gathered in His name, He is there. The Spirit. And where the Spirit is, there is freedom (imputed grace!!) (2 Cor 3:17). 7. To take the Spirit out of the sacraments is wrong, in a big way. To say the grace and the Spirit of God are not present in the sacraments is not true to the Word.

Limitless Power-

1. The power of God is limitless. At the cross it is manifested. 2. The Spirit of God perfects our prayers. 3. The cross is the point where a belief is perfected. 4. Do not do or think or say in such a way that limits the unlimited grace of God. 5. God is greater than my sin. God is greater than myself. The mercy of God is boundless. The power of God is limitless.

1. If the power of God is limitless - and it is - then the denomination that releases the Spirit (gives Him more avenues to work in), and sets Him free by faith, is the denomination closest to God's heart. Lord, show me the denomination, the church, which is closest to your heart. Please!! Proverbs 25:21, 22- If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; if he is thirsty, give him water to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head, and the Lord will reward you. 2. Our sin, self, pride limit God's mercy in us. 3. The purpose of trials and temptation in to increase faith and glorify God. God wants us to rely on Him always.

The Holy Spirit-

1. The death of Christ released the Holy Spirit. John 16:7- But I tell you the truth: it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. 2. Just so is the Holy Spirit set free in you when you believe in the crucified Christ. Just so is the Spirit set free to bring all things to perfection - to the truth.

1. Jesus says - to be great, you must serve. The more life you serve - humble yourself to - the greater your reward in Heaven. 2. Jesus is the greatest in Heaven because he served all of us by taking on our sins and dying for us. 3. My words go one way and my thoughts another - this is why what we do reveals what we believe in. 4. When we subdue our self, and obey God, we are walking in the Spirit.

Mark 11:25-
Forgive others, hold nothing against anyone.

1. The key to Heaven is Jesus.
2. Love one another as I have loved you (John 15:12), is the same as, forgive one another as I
have forgiven you.
3. Pride makes a man out to be God. A proud man holds things against others, because he
thinks he is better than anyone else.
4. Anger is judgment against others. Your hurt from insult is holding the insult against that
person. You judge him.

1 Cor 13:5-
Love...keeps no record of wrongs.

5. Avenues of grace are opportunities God uses to forgive sin. The sacraments are avenues of
6. Humble judges no one.
7. Pride says, "I am". It forces its' way into Heaven. But because pride judges, the judgment is
on its' own head.
8. Humble lets go of judgment. It holds nothing against anyone. It keeps no record of wrongs.
Thus humble is love.
9. Love = forgiveness.
10. The man who empties himself of judgment, anger, debt, sin, pride, becomes one with God.
11. To deny myself, is to deny that I am God. So holding nothing against others is to be in
harmony with God.
12. This is what Jesus must mean when He says, "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly
Father is perfect." Mat 5:48

Mat 6:14, 15-
For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive your
sins. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

13. So, having God inside me, is the ability and desire to forgive.
14. To be empty of self is to be empty of judgment against myself and others.

1. Love is outward. 2. The ten commandments are inward. 3. The commandments are kept by the inward self. Self-control. 4. The ten commandments are to be used to judge whether the inward self is keeping the standard. 5. You cannot, except for obvious things, know what or if another has violated the commandments. That is God's place. 6. God wants us to maintain purity of the inward self by doing the commandments. 7. It is a reflecting thing. Judge and you will reflect inward judgment of yourself. 8. The proud man thinks he is pure and judges others like he is God. 9. The humble man knows he is a sinner and attempts not to judge others. 10. I am dirt. I am not worthy to judge anyone. 11. When you judge, you curse others. Bless, because there is no judgment in blessing. Blessing sets everyone free.

1. God is sex-less. God has no sex. 2. If two or more people can live together, take care of each other, without sex - then the love is true. Like a monastery. 3. God does not reproduce by sex. He reproduces by the action of the Spirit. 4. A relationship based on sex is doomed. Sex is a temporal fleshly thing. 5. The flesh, and everything organic, dies. They turn to dust. 6. You have to get down to the basics, the facts. 7. Our sex organs are there to produce children. 8. God made sex pleasurable so men and women would come together and produce children. 9. He connected the sex organs to the heart, because He wants a husband and wife to stay together to raise the children. 10. If the sex organs were not connected to the heart, people would not be so twisted by non- standard unions. 11. God has given express permission for a man to have a wife and become one with her. 12. Condemnation has been issued in regard to same sex unions. 13. People become addicted to pleasure. 14. Anything which controls our actions other than the Fear of the Lord is sin. Anything done without the solid confidence it is approved by God, is sin. 15. Since sex people are driven by fleshly pleasure, they will die apart from God. 16. Because God is sex-less. 17. If a person gives in to temptation, to gratify and obey the self, then the conscience will grow more and more silent. 18. It is a puzzle, that what man desires most, are things that will destroy him. 19. I think it comes down to passion. If the passion is for something that will pass away in time, then the person goes with it. 20. To have a passion of evil things, things that hurt and destroy, is obviously wrong. 21. Passion burns. Pure fire. Life, love, and truth are eternal and un-ending. 22. Evil is a spiritual thing also. It is a created thing. 23. Evil, because it is a spiritual thing, will burn forever - IN PAIN. Because its' passion was for pain. It will become one with that which it loves. What it burned for in life, it will burn with in death. 24. God is totally humble; He will give you whatever you have a passion for. 25. If you have a passion for the pure fire of God, your love will never end. Because the fire of love is joyful and true. 26. If you have a passion for the pure life which is God, you will reflect that purity by maintaining a life style pure and separate from evil and the flesh. 27. Created stuff will un-wind, die and turn to dust. 28. Evil will burn forever in pain. 29. Love will burn forever in joy. Praise the Lord!!!

Unconditional Love-

1. When you love and accept someone, as is, it strengthens them to be faithful. Because they feel valuable. 2. When a person is not good enough, it makes them feel worthless. It makes them lose hope and faith. 3. Judgment of another makes them feel worthless. Because they do not feel good, they feel cheap. It opens the door to doing cheap things, like sin. 4. To love someone unconditionally, would mean to do nothing to impair that persons peace. Conditional love, hurts people, because it is impossible to maintain the standard. 5. Holding to wrongs is conditional, legalistic, and judgmental.

Brothers and Sisters-

1. We are all brothers and sisters because we have the same Father, God. 2. This makes all people, regardless of race or creed related. 3. We need to love our brothers, even though they do evil. Even if we do not agree with their philosophy. 4. I do argue for Jesus, the Lord and Son of God. 5. I do argue for God - the Life, the Love, the Truth, the Only I AM. 6. The Lord, our God, is one - singular. And according to scripture, the Lord Jesus is the one path to Heaven. 7. But, I think some people use their philosophies to get to the entrance ramp. God has to give them a hand. 8. If you are moving in pitch blackness, a hand to help is needed.

1. All men want happiness. They do not realize happiness is right here. Right inside of them. 2. Another name for God is happiness. And we now know the secret for happiness: praise the Lord in ALL circumstances. 3. People make a business of making goals. 4. They make goals, and reach for them, thinking, "if I only reach that goal, I will be happy." 5. Goals can become Gods. "Gotta reach that goal, whatever it takes." You obey the goal. 6. We should only obey God. 7. Because goals can become Gods, the Lord has set our goals for us: love the Lord, love one another. 8. Because goals can become Gods, THE goal must be God. 9. The conclusion of all lofty goals: wisdom, faith, love, life, hope, power, grace, joy, freedom, wealth, health, and all things, find their finish at the cross. 10. A goal can become a fear. 11. You must fear God; dedicate the goal to Him. Give it to Him. That way, the goal will not become an end unto itself. But instead, it becomes only a part of the end.

1. If I said, "in this instance, I am depending on my own righteousness and another man's works for the proper application of this sacrament." Would you say, it was O.K. and all right? 2. If I said, "in this instance and always, in faith, I am depending on the righteousness of God and the work of the Holy Spirit for the proper application of this sacrament." Wouldn't you say this is much, much better!! 3. Statement 1. is the way the S. Baptist (and many other Protestant denominations) say baptism is to be done. 4. Statement 2. is what I believe and what I understand the Catholic Church believes in regard to the sacraments, including infant baptism. 5. My infant baptism was perfected at the cross. There is no shame in this, only victory.

Inclusive or Exclusive-

1. Is the Love of God inclusive or exclusive? Does it include as many people as possible or only a few? 2. When you add requirements, each requirement makes it more exclusive, more legalistic. 3. The less requirements, the more inclusive, the more freedom. Matthew 23:13- "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men's faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to. Matthew 7:13- "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 4. It is inclusive to all, because you are free to accept Jesus or reject Him. This invitation is open to all - Ghandi or Hitler.. 5. The entrance to Heaven is through the singularity of Jesus. The place and point of entrance is Christ crucified. 7. It is exclusive in that there is only one way to Heaven: Jesus = forgiveness = I Am Salvation. In other words: when a person says, "God forgive me." It is the same as saying, "God Jesus me." 8. Again, God has covered ALL the bases. John 14:6- Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 9. In John 14:6, Jesus is not being mean or arrogant, He is just stating, in a matter of fact way, the truth. 10. We meet God by repentance. Jesus = repentance. 11. So to say, "have a repentant heart." Is the same as saying, "have a Jesus heart". 12. This is an obvious thing, yet it seems to escape the notice of most. 13. By inclusive, I am trying to grasp the fullness of all the doctrines and denominations that use the name of Jesus. All Christians. And even some who are not. 14. Remember: Mark 9:23- "`If you can'?" said Jesus. "Everything is possible for him who believes." You can't put God in a box, even a very big box. You cannot limit the Spirit of God!! 15. By inclusive belief: Mary, saints, sacraments, baby baptism, immersion, sprinkling, baptism of the dead, etc... Mark 9:23. 16. In other words: the full breadth of what all who call themselves Christian believe! 17. Exclusive: a club. Only our denomination is right. They will burn in Hell because they do not keep 'our' way. 18. I am a member of the whole body of Christ. Not just his leg or half of his foot. I am one with all those who call Jesus Christ - Lord.

1. I do not buy the appeal to memory.
2. I cannot justify myself by my memory.
3. My memory is faulty. I remember stuff I don't want, and forget good things
I should remember.
4. Jana (my wife) says, "because you have no memory of your baptism, it is
5. But I am not justified by my memory. No, I am justified by Jesus. Thank
God, I don't have to appeal to memory in order to be saved. If I did, I would
be in big trouble.
6. It is all Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.
a. He was at my baby baptism in the love of my mom, dad, aunt, uncle, and
b. He was there because two or more were gathered in his name.
c. He was there in the laying on of hands and the application of the healing
unction (holy water).
d. He was there in the sign of the cross.
e. He was there in the person of the priest.
f. He was there in the prayers.
g. He was there because they welcomed me in his name.

Matthew 18:20
For where two or three have gathered together in My name, *I am there
in their midst.

Acts 22:16
"Now why do you delay? *Get up and be baptized, and *wash away your
sins, *calling on His name.'

James 5:15
and the *prayer [1]offered in faith will [2]*restore the one who is sick, and
the Lord will *raise him up, and if he has committed sins, [3]they will be
forgiven him.

Mark 9:37
"Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me; and whoever
receives me, receives not me but him who sent me."

2 Corinthians 3:17
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is

7. I do not stand on my memory, my own righteousness, or the skill-action of
the minister; I stand on the promise of God, the righteousness of God, and the
work of the Holy Spirit! Hallelujah!!
8. Jesus perfected my baptism a the cross.
9. I was given the gift of Heaven. And I accept it. Praise the Lord!!!

Luke 16:15 But he said to them, "You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts; for what is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God. 1. Men work for: pride, glory, satisfaction, happiness. 2. That glory-satisfaction-happiness-pride have already been achieved at the cross. 3. Do it for God. Because you love Him. Honest work. 4. Our original work was to gather food and maintain the garden. 5. Men have forgotten the original purpose for work. 6. You accept what is given humbly. You do not seek honor after honor, because that only exalts you over your fellow man.

Asking Jesus into your life-

1. Asking Jesus into your life is more than just a confession. 2. Asking Jesus into your life is your statement of intent to wed. You are engaged to the Lord. 3. We want to remain faithful to our vows of marriage. To be unfaithful is to commit adultery. Mat 5:27, 28 "You have heard that it was said, `Do not commit adultery.' But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 4. You can consider a 'sinful desire' a 'lustful desire'. Mat 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. Mal 2:16.4 "For I hate divorce, says the LORD the God of Israel, and covering one's garment with violence, says the LORD of hosts. So take heed to yourselves and do not be faithless." 5. If you apply the above verses to our commitment to the Lord, it helps to make salvation clearer. 6. The Lord is the most faithful husband. He hates divorce. He gives us every opportunity to reconcile our differences. Even up to the last second of our lives. 7. Still, He has the freedom to 'put away' his wife if she commits adultery. Deut 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." 8. So be faithful to the Lord. Do what is right and good and pleasing to Him. There is no one who cares or loves you more. Keep your vow and cleave only to the Lord. Deuteronomy 10:20 You shall fear the LORD your God; you shall serve him and cleave to him, and by his name you shall swear. Isaiah 45:22 Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; For I am God, and there is no other. 9. Our salvation remains in our focus on the Lord. We must, of our own free will, turn away from sin. We must grab hold and never let go. Focus your whole being on Him. Numbers 21:8 Then the LORD said to Moses, Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a standard; and it shall come about, that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, he will live. John 3:14 As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up;

Dead Body-

1. The spirit is not set free of the body until the body is dead. 2. How odd it is, that the will seems to be separate from the self. 3. With my will, I tell my body to do things. Sometimes my will is in agreement with my body. 4. The will desires to choose the path of highest confidence. The body desires to take the path of least resistance - down. 5. Will-power is required to force self to do right. It takes will power to maintain self-control. 6. The higher the confidence, the easier the decision. 7. Strength-confidence-faith are built up by exercise-study-practice. 8. Decisions must be based on truth. Decisions based on lies kill, maim, and destroy. 9. Decisions based on truth bear good fruit. 10. My will is weak when it caves in to selfish desires. 11. It would appear, that all problems stem from selfishness.

Let Go-

1. We need to let go and let God run our lives. 2. The body of flesh is in decay and dying. Its' motives are basic and without Wisdom. 3. The body wants food, it wants sleep, it wants to procreate. 4. The flesh drives the self without thought. 5. Life is eternal, the body is temporary. 6. Body-self worry about needs. They fear. 7. Because the body is without Wisdom, it drives for the basic needs, even if it leads to harm. Like a chicken with its' head cut off. 8. To control the self, one must let go, relax, and pray. 9. The world desires to control us by force. To hold you. Make you a slave. Mark 8:35- For whoever wants to save his life, will lose it.

Self Glory-

1. To drive and push for self glory is a lie and evil. 2. Knowing Jesus is all that I need, gives me peace. It is a great wisdom. 3. Self thing = I want = cheap thrills = selfish = shallow desires = temporary things that feel good. But are just a cheap imitation of the real thing - God. Psalm 23:1- The Lord is my shepherd (my provider), I shall not WANT. 4. To give in to selfish desire is to obey the self.

Give? Get?-

1. Practice truth. Think truth. Do truth. Talk truth. 2. On what can I base what we get? I think it is based on how much we give.

Gal 2:20- I am (my self is) crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me. 1. The self is nailed to the cross when we ask Jesus into our hearts. 2. To obey God is to obey the Only I AM. 3. In Christ, our actions should no longer be selfish motivated - but God motivated. 4. By believing and obeying God, my self is replaced by His' Self. 5. Chasing after selfish desires is vain and empty.

God has covered all the bases-

I was wondering about why God gave Himself on the cross for me. When this revelation popped into my head. 1. God said, "In the beginning I made you. I did it. And because I made you, ultimately, it is all my fault. 2. I am to blame for all the atrocities man has committed. I am to blame for Satan's evil. 3. And so, not pushing the blame on someone else, as Adam did, taking full responsibility, I bore the cross. 4. All the cruelty, all the evil, all the sin, I took upon myself. Because, I am not only the Author and Finisher of faith, but also the Author and Finisher of sin." HALLELUJAH!!!! 5. So the price has been paid. This is why simply believing and acknowledging Jesus Christ as my personal savior is all that I need to be saved. 6. He is ALL that I need. 7. The cross was something God needed to do. 8. He went to the cross because it was the right thing to do. Thank you Jesus for suffering, dying, and rising from the dead for me and my family!!! Amen! Amen! Hallelujah!!

1. The saints pray for us constantly. Rev 5:8- ...prayers of the saints. 2. Prayers are powerful. James 5:16- The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. 3. Prayers will save you. Luke 1:47- ...and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, 4. What is important, maybe the most important thing, is to know in my heart, that God has accepted me. And He knows that I love Him.

1. To say that you are not sure of your salvation, is the same as saying you are not sure that your sins are forgiven. 2. I acknowledge that Jesus died on the cross for ALL of my sins, not some, and that God completed His work on the cross. He paid it all. But I still sin.

1. All this talk about Catholic or Protestant or whatever just confuses things. 2. One of Satan's main goals is to confuse us. 3. The rivalry between Catholic and Protestant is vain and empty. Truly, just making excuses. 1 Cor 7:19- Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing. Keeping God's commands is what counts. 4. The different denominations fight, who is right? 5. Is the real reason they are fighting, because they do not want to obey the commandments of God? 6. They say, "my way is right!" But isn't it a very private matter, a man's relationship with God? 7. No relationship is more intimate than our relationship with God. 8. The Lord has opened my mind to understand His word a certain way; that does not nullify your way. 9. As we are all different parts of His body, we all have different functions. The foot does not see the head in the same way as the shoulder. 10 But the Lord wants me to be concerned. 11. The commandments stand. Love the Lord; Love your neighbor. John 14:6- Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through me. 12. John 14:6 tells us that Jesus is Love. And that Love is the only way to truth, and life - eternal life. Proverbs 10:12- Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all transgressions. 13. 'Jesus' is obedience to God. The way to God is through obedience to Him.

A Dream-

1. Some time in the middle of January 1997, in a dream I saw and spoke to the Virgin Mary. I was in a wood paneled room with windows all around. Under the windows were flower boxes. The flower boxes were over flowing with red roses. Every few feet between the boxes, a nun would sit. The nuns were dressed in the old way - all black with the white around the face. The building seemed old, but comfortable. There was nothing extra-ordinary about the room, except for the roses and nuns. It was not that large. At first, as I looked around, there was nothing in the center of the room. I wondered what this was all about. The dream was more clear than most dreams I remember. And then suddenly, there she was. I knew who she was immediately. My heart told me. My insides were filled with gentle love. She was outlined in a super bright golden line. She was dressed in a nuns outfit, but hers was entirely white. Around her waist hung a large jeweled cross. I do not usually pay any attention to jewelry. But there was something different about this cross. It appeared to me as one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. Her face was pale with lips as red as roses. Very beautiful. I felt no fear. Just love. She said, "hello John." And I said, "hello Mary." I became so excited at this, I woke up. But her impression on my heart remained. I feel that I had a genuine encounter with Mary, the mother of Jesus.

All Glory and Honor are yours Almighty One, forever and ever, Amen!
