Judgment House, Chick Tracts, and Mary

Hallo Baptist Preacher,

Do you truly believe the words of Jesus? You may be shocked and horrified that I would even ask you this.

How about:
[Mark 11:25] And whenever you stand praying, FORGIVE, if you have ANYTHING against ANYONE; so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses."

Or:
[Mat 6:14] For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father also will forgive you; 15 but if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Or:
[Mat 18:32] Then his lord summoned him and said to him, `You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you besought me; 33 and should not you have had mercy on your fellow servant, as I had mercy on you? 34 And in anger his lord delivered him to the jailers, till he should pay all his debt. 35 So also my heavenly Father will do to every one of you, if you do not forgive your brother from your heart."

The anti-Catholic bias in your "Judgment House" was evil. Here is your vision of hell, staffed with monks. Here is the cross of Peter, hung so prominently over the throne of the devil. And here is a servant of the devil "Damian" - a Latin name. So much hate. So much bias.

Peter considered it an honor to die like Jesus Christ. So you dishonor the Apostle Peter and Jesus his Lord by putting his cross in hell. The cross of Peter represents his pure devotion and obedience to Christ. Peter gave his life for the Gospel you are trying to promote.

How very twisted bias can make people!

Faith without love is NOTHING.

[1Cor 13:2] And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

I also noted the Chick Tracts you had on the table. I cannot honestly believe you actually use such trash.

The "Why Is Mary Crying" one is full of inaccurate and twisted Scripture. The anti-Catholic bias is so thick in these things it obviously blinds the author to the truth.

Don't you believe that Jesus Christ is God? If He is not God, then you should not be worshipping Him.

[1Tim 4:10] For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.

Here we have the Holy Spirit (God Himself) testifying that Mary is the Mother of God:

[Luke 1:41] And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit 42 and she exclaimed with a loud cry, "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! 43 And why is this granted me, that THE MOTHER OF MY LORD should come to me?

[Mat 7:17] Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

[Luke 7:35] Yet wisdom is justified by all her children."

Oh, and the part about Mary being full of sin - God cannot - will not abide/dwell/live within the company of the wicked. So how exactly could Jesus, the pure and perfect Lord, even touch Mary or grow within her womb if she was full of sin?

[Job 34:10] "Therefore, hear me, you men of understanding, far be it from God that he should do wickedness, and from the Almighty that he should do wrong.

And then there is the part about Mary not being able to pray for us. Remember what Jesus said?

[Luke 20:38] Now he is not God of the dead, but of the living; for all live to him."

We who believe are alive in Christ forever - not dead. Mary is alive in Christ.

[Jas 5:16] Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man has great power in its effects.

We are commanded to "pray for one another". We are encouraged to confess our sins to each other. We can talk to Mary and ask her to pray for us just the same as me asking you to pray for me. Paul tells us to intercede for EVERYBODY. Do I need to quote all the verses where Jesus COMMANDS us to forgive one another? If He did not give us the power to forgive sin, then these verses are a lie. Mary can forgive sin, because all who believe in Christ can forgive sin.

[Mat 18:21] Then Peter came up and said to him, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?" 22 Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you seven times, but seventy times seven.

When Protestants deny gifts that Mary has recieved, they are denying what ALL Christians can do in Christ. That is where they fail.

If Mary was not a Christian, then no one is a Christian - for what mother does not love and believe in her son?
If Mary was not raptured (the Assumption), then no Christian will be raptured.
If Mary was not pure and sinless, then the presence of the Lord and His grace makes no one pure and sinless.
If Mary cannot forgive sins, then no Christian can forgive sins.
If Mary cannot intercede and pray for you, then no Christian can pray and intercede for you.
If Mary is dead, then no Christian has eternal life by Christ Jesus.
If Mary did not give birth to God, then Jesus is not Lord.
If Jesus does not do what His mother asks Him to do, Jesus is a disobedient son and a sinner and not Lord.
If Mary is not your mother in the Spirit of Christ, then Jesus is not your brother and you are not in the family of God.
If Mary is not your mother in the Spirit of Christ, then you are not part of the Body of Christ Jesus.
If Mary cannot have a crown, then no Christian can have a crown.
If Mary is not a Queen, Jesus is not Prince of Peace, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

Anti-Catholic bias blinds people to some pretty basic Scripture. Their bias goes way too far.

You may say: "by faith in Jesus I am saved".

The Catholic Church is made up of real people who acknowledge Jesus Christ as their Savior. If you hate Catholics and the Catholic Church, your faith in Jesus is a lie.

[1John 4:20] If any one says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.

Love is keeping an attitude of forgiveness towards others. Blessing them. An un-forgiving heart is un-forgiven. By keeping an un-forgiving attitude toward the Pope and the Catholic Church, you prove YOU ARE NOT FORGIVEN. Because, you cannot give what you do not have.

If you consider the Catholic Church your "enemy", and if you really believe Jesus' words:

[Mat 5:44] But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

[Rom 14:4] Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another (on a Catholic)? It is before his own master (who is Jesus Christ, Son of God) that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Master is able to make him stand. 5 One man esteems one day as better than another (Holy Days), while another man esteems all days alike. Let every one be fully convinced in his own mind. 6 He who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord. He also who eats, eats in honor of the Lord (the Eucharist), since he gives thanks to God (eating fish on Fridays, etc..); while he who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord and gives thanks to God. 7 None of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. 8 If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord; so then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lords. 9 For to this end Christ died and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living. 10 Why do you pass judgment on your brother (the Pope and the Catholic Church which is composed of real people who give glory to Jesus)? Or you, why do you despise your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of God;

Just preach the Gospel, please.
