[1 Tim 1:5] The goal of this command is LOVE, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.
[Gal 5:6] For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is of any avail, but faith working through LOVE.
[1Tim 4:1] Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by giving heed to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons,
1. If a person confesses Jesus as Lord, and willfully lives a life of depravity - with no desire to do the will of God - this person is no better than a demon and is going to join the devil in the lake of fire.
[Mat 7:21.24] "Not every one who says to me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
2. Faith and works are 2 sides of the same coin - it is the life of a TRUE CHRISTIAN. Faith without works is dead. And works without faith is idolatry. A coin is worthless - if one side is blank.
3. Works need to be qualified.
[Gal 5:6] For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision (dead works) has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love (good works).
[Jas 2:26.12] For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so faith apart from works is dead.
[1Cor 13:2] And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have ALL FAITH, so as to remove mountains, BUT HAVE NOT LOVE, I am nothing.
[John 15:2] Every branch of mine that bears no fruit, he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
