What is FAITH?

Yes, I do believe we are saved by faith. But FAITH has a different meaning to some people. TRUE FAITH implys a change in the way you live your life. It is not simple belief.

  1. RSV:
[Heb 11:1] Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

  2. Amplified Bible:
[Heb 11:1] Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].

  3. A WORD is real. We can see it. Our senses perceive it and interpret it. Is faith real if it is based on something we see? Hebrews 11:1 seems to say: "no".

  4. Paul says:
[Gal 3:2] Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law, or by hearing with faith?

  5. So you must HEAR the WORD before you put faith in it. HEARING and SEEING are definitely senses. According to Heb 11:1, FAITH is non-sense. Then FAITH would have to be totally separate from the human experience. You could not experience something without your senses coming into play. That is saying FAITH must be centered on selflessness/nothingness for it to be real.

  6. Is modern Church life anything like this? If Hebrews 11:1 is true, then the only way to express true FAITH would be by sitting absolutely still, in a quiet place, looking at nothing, thinking about nothing. Dead to the world. So, being saved by faith must be leading a life dead to the world - dead to EVIL.

  7. [Rom 6:11] So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.

  8. [Rom 8:10] But if Christ is in you, although your bodies are dead because of sin, your spirits are alive because of righteousness.

  9. If you are DEAD to EVIL, then all you would do is GOOD WORKS. TRUE FAITH is in the person who practices GOOD WORKS. FALSE FAITH is in the person who practices EVIL WORKS. GOOD WORKS imply TRUE FAITH and TRUE SALVATION.

    Good practiced is Salvation manifested

[John 5:28] Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice 29 and come forth, those who have practised doing good, to the resurrection of Life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of judgment and damnation.

  10. [Gal 5:24] And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

    Weight Lifting

  11. You are are spotted...last see the hands helping your mind you are convinced the hands are helping you...the weight goes up...then afterwards...he tells you...he did not touch the bar.

  12. Without a spotter, if you lift to failure, at the last rep the weight would fall, and eventually could even kill you.

  13. If you do not try, the weight will just sit there. If you ask the spotter to lift the weight for you, and you are not there to catch it, it will fall on you.

  14. So you have to be ready, and you have to try.

  15. You lift your life to heaven...Jesus spots you...every hear His Word helping your mind you are convinced His Word is helping you...the life is lifted up...then afterwards...He tells you...through faith in my Word the Spirit gave you enough strength to lift your life to heaven.

  16. My part is the lifting. My part is trusting in His Word. You lift your life by elevating it to His higher standard. By faith in His Word, His Spirit strengthens you, enabling you to lift your life to heaven, enabling you to elevate your life to His higher standard. Good practiced is Salvation manifested.

[Gal 5:22] But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such there is no law. 24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

The more confusion and dispersion, the quicker and uglier the death. The more order and unity, the longer and more beautiful the life.

All Glory and Honor are yours Almighty One, forever and ever, Amen!
